The Desert Voice Submission Guidelines - 2011

Introduction:
Moab Poets & Writers is seeking submissions for its first annual literary journal, The Desert Voice. The publication is open to any subject matter in all genres, poetry and prose. The finished product, to be published in November, will serve as a literary voice for our desert home and those who feel a connection to it.

Guidelines:
Those interested in contributing need to adhere to the following guidelines:

• Deadline for all submissions is Monday, July 11, 2011.
• Submissions are limited to two poems and one prose piece per writer.
• Poetry should not exceed 40 lines and prose is limited to 1200 words.
• Electronic submissions are required. Email your work in Microsoft Word format to moabpw@yahoo.com with “Desert Voice Submission” in the email subject line. Please include your name, phone number and email address on the first page of each item submitted.
• You can expect to hear from Moab Poets & Writers by October 3, 2011, regarding the publication of your work in The Desert Voice.
• All contributors will receive one complimentary copy of The Desert Voice as compensation.
