Mission: The
Moab Poets & Writers is dedicated to fostering creative writing,
including performance and publication, and to promoting local writing
and literary arts as a resource for community enrichment.
Vision: Our
vision is to provide a haven for regional rural writers by creating
venues where anyone can learn, play, and create. We are open and
inclusive to anyone who has the spirit and desire to push the limits.

| Why should you join Moab
Poets & Writers? |
When you join MPW,
you join a creative writing contact organization for the Grand County
region of Utah. You do not have to write professionally or have
any previous publishing experience in order to join. The only membership
"requirements" include a love of words, a desire to share
your works with others of similar interests, and a determination
to learn more and write better. |

| With
your membership, you will also receive: |
- An invitation to participate in local readings of your work
and that of others at the 'Final Friday' events held monthly
- Announcements and updates of local seminars and workshops,
in addition to information about any other regional functions
MP&W is aware of
- Reduced cost for attendance at MP&W sponsored workshops,
retreats, instructional seminars and conferences
- Reminders of deadlines for local publications and other publications
of interest
- List of other members with contact information, when available
- Contact with other organizations of similar nature in the region
- Membership in a network of creative, motivated people who are
there to help, encourage, and emphathize with others

a member of MP&W ... |
You
will be part of an established and recognized Poets and Writers
Organization, which has a published forum and has gained recognition
and respect. Your membership helps support this form of the creative
arts in the region, encourages others like yourself to particpate,
and introduces young people to the opportunities for self-expression
through the written word. |
