These informal gatherings are designed to give everyone a turn at reading something they have written. Often these meetings begin with a Featured Reader, a writer who shares his/her work for the first part of the meeting. During the evening, participants take turns reading their poetry or short prose in an Open Mic environment. People who don't want to read during the Open Mic are welcome to attend and listen!

Final Fridays are now held once a quarter. Unless otherwise specified, Open Mic meetings will be held at the Moab Arts & Recreation Center (MARC) on 100 North 100 West (downstairs). Eating is allowed! You can bring something to share if you'd like and MP&W will provide a few treats too.

Moab Poets & Writers sponsor several writing workshops a year. These workshops are highly praised by attendees. They are reasonable in price and selected for their interest to area writers.
